What the member app stores, why, and how to get rid of it.
Who we are
TradePlatoon (tradeplatoon.com) operates the member app at app.tradeplatoon.com. Contact: general@tradeplatoon.com.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and name. If you sign in with Google we receive the name, email and profile image Google shares; we never see your Google password.
- Sign-in records: session tokens, the IP address and browser user agent of active sessions, and one-time sign-in tokens that expire within ten minutes.
- Your journal: session plans, trades, debriefs and everything you type into them. This is your data. We do not analyse it for anything other than showing it back to you.
- Server logs: standard request logs kept for a short period for security and debugging.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics in the app. Embedded videos load from youtube-nocookie.com, which may set its own cookies once you press play.
Why we process it
To run your account, deliver the member content you signed up for, and keep the service secure. The legal basis is the contract with you and our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
Where it lives
Data is stored on a server in the European Union operated by Hetzner. Transactional emails (sign-in links) are sent through Google Workspace.
Retention
- Your journal and account data are kept for as long as your account exists.
- Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity. Sign-in tokens expire after 10 minutes.
- Database backups are kept for 14 days and then overwritten.
- Server logs are rotated within a few weeks.
Deletion and export
From the account page you can export all your data as a JSON file, and delete your account. Deletion removes your account, sessions, plans, trades and debriefs immediately. Copies in backups disappear within 14 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or erase your data at any time by email. We will respond within 30 days.

Nothing in the app is financial advice. The journal exists to help you follow your own rules. See the terms.
